When using the Xamarin Studio 4.x/5.x Designer Interface tool on the Windows 8/8.1 platform I cannot add components on the screen, when trying to drag and drop a component from the toolbar to the interface it is not applied (it is on the screen).
How to solve this problem?

Solution found:
I detected two possible problems, which directly affect the tool:
1º - Version of the outdated video driver. After updating the video driver some users were able to use the tool correctly.
2º - Interference of third party software, mainly anti-virus and screen sharing systems. When disabling them the tool works properly.
I hope this can help someone who’s facing the same problems.
