I need a component that can read serial port, I’m making an application integrating with Arduino.

I saw that there is Tcomport, but I can not install in Delphi xe7, someone has already managed??

Error: [dcc32 Fatal Error] Cportlibdxe7.dpk(34): E2202 Required package 'vcl' not found

  • I did once, but only using the Embarcadero C++ XE8. What you need to do is recompile the entire project again within your Delphi XE7 IDE.

  • So the problem is just when I try to collect..

  • I did a step-by-step tutorial on how to do this recompilation, but I’m not with him now, I can post to you tomorrow, it might be?

  • Yes, if you can thank you, thank you!

Steps to install Comport in Codegear Embarcadero C++ Builder 2009

Before starting the installation, if you don’t already have the files from Comport, you can find them in the link below:

Download Tcomport

I performed the compilation using the Codegear Embarcadero C++ Builder 2009, but for the version you need the following steps are similar.

first -> Unzip the file "comport411f.zip" in the C++ Builder installation folder "C: Program Files (x86) Codegear RAD Studio 6.0 Comport". The files that should be inside this directory are the ones in the folder 'source'.

2nd -> In C++ Builder, add the unzipped folder containing the files from folder 'source' in: "Tools->Options...->Environment Options->Paths and Directories->Library Path" and add the way: "C: Program Files (x86) Codegear RAD Studio 6.0 Comport"
