I have an accentuation problem in my Cloud Server that I am using (Ubuntu 14.04 x64), where, I try to give the following command line (in the linux prompt), using Putty, however, when I give a refresh in the URL does not come the accents.

Example:

Within the putty, in my mysql I am giving the following command:

insert into convenio (nome) values('Téste');

Notice there’s a nod in the letter E.

when I run this command, in the browser appears to me the following way:

"nome":"Téste"

Does anyone know how I can fix this?

  • what is the encoding of the database on your server? This is probably the problem.

  • Problem of locale. On the server you need to install pt_BR.ISO-8859-1. Maybe it is already installed, in this case you just need to set as default. If I’m not mistaken, by default it’s always utf-8. these instructions must resolve

  • The problem does not have to do with the server, your problem is to pass the data to the answer in the browser, the server in this case is irrelevant to doubt, if you search here in Sopt you will notice that there is already answer to this problem, No offense, but take a look at my answer: http://answall.com/a/43205/3635

  • @Georgesilva has made a comment on your answer. If you want to give a more complete answer, including adding content from this link here (referencing) would be ideal. If that link fails one day the answer is incomplete.
