I would like to decrease the font disk size so that the page loads faster. It is the font of Font Awesome icons. I want to know if there is any tool so I can remove the characters I don’t use and leave the font more "lean".
For example, if I only use the social icons, I can remove all the other icons from the font so that they are only the ones I use, and so, leaving the file lighter to be loaded by the client?

The icomoon.io allows you to select characters and generate a new font from them easily.
Just import the Awesome Font by clicking on the library icon and searching for it, select the icons you will use and click on Generate Font.
It will download a . zip, unzip it and go to fonts folder, where you will find the icomoon.ttf file.
In addition to the . ttf format, it will export in . eot, . svg and . Woff.

What you seek should be, in my opinion Icomoon. :)
On Icomoon, you can choose which icons you need/want or even import on the site (or search the galley of the site) and later download the new font-style.
Can also change the class of each icons for your preference (but the default is the original source).
