Mask is not a function

Question

I am in error on a jQuery Mask function.

Here is my code:

I did something similar these days. I created a input to the phone and created this code for id:

            if($(this).val().length == 15){
                $('#txtTelefone').mask('(99) 99999-999?9');
            } else {
                $('#txtTelefone').mask('(99) 9999-9999?9');
            }
        });
    });

The plugin used was the https://plugins.jquery.com/maskedinput/

I tested on my project and worked with https://code.jquery.com/jquery-3.1.1.min.js
