Hello, I’m new here, so if you do anything out of the ordinary, I apologize in advance =D
I am developing an application for academic purposes whose goal is to improve the user posture during the use of the Smartphone. For this, I use the accelerometer to detect the inclination of the phone and infer whether or not the user is inclined to use their phone.
I need to upgrade to ensure that the user is using the smartphone not to give false alerts, for example: The phone is on on the table, but there is no one necessarily using it. At first, if I could run a facial recognition check from time to time to know if anyone’s using the phone or not, that would solve my problem.
Detail: The app runs in the background so I can’t bring the camera in front of the screen all the time, I would have to use without the user noticing.
Can you tell me if this is possible? If so, have application example or some tutorial to implement?
Thank you very much!
"shooting" without showing the screen of the Camera is possible yes. It will be difficult for you to analyze the image to conclude whether or not they are using.

Initially I would only need to detect if there is a face there or not... I would have some example?
