I would like to know, what is the average amount spent to publish an e-commerce site on the Internet, with databases, domain purchase and so on... and what exactly would I have to do to stay completely in the Air. I am a student of Information Technology and I am starting in the area of programming. If someone can provide me with the information, I will be grateful.

I do not know if this type of question fits this site, but even if yes it is very comprehensive. Answering this question would involve taking into account a number of factors, it would be practically a business plan.

Do you want to know the cost of hosting only? Do you intend to build the website, and the database? What kind of domain you want (.com, .com.br) there are a number of different domains at a different cost. And to reinforce what Genos said...

  • So, it’s a work for the college that we’re developing in Asp.Net-MVC and in the end we’ll have to publish the site, and we’re planning to use a .com.br domain

You should first buy a domain, which on average costs $30 a year. It depends on where you buy it (Register.br, Godaddy ...)

And then depending on the language you will hire a server to host your site (whereas you will hire a service for it). As you said it is in C# there are many servers (Locaweb, Redehost, Godaddy ...), each has its price, but the average is about R$45,00 annually.

Usually the database is already included in the server hiring.

  • Got it, so in case I need a domain and a server, then I can consider that the value does not exceed $ 100,00 to the right year?

If you want to make the site itself, there are hundreds of possibilities, free domains, etc.

If you simply want to make an eccomerce there are enabling platforms like the Wix.

My cousin pays R$29 / year for registration + R$19 / month of Illuria (Ecommerce platform)
