Echo problem in '<' '>' php characters

Hello, I have the following problem, I am using an api that returns me a json array, but in some of these data comes between < >, ex: < test name > (not here worked...I had to give a space kk), and in these cases when I do an echo is blank, so I ran a test by replacing the '<' before echo...?
