I am making a program and I would like to know how to save a field that contains only characters, but send to the bank only your code? I am using two tables to save the data and the field I want to save is the foreign key that would be the code.I am doing the program in visual studio and using sql Developer(Oracle) as a database. Below are the two tables, I’m saving in the Employee table, and cod_position is my foreign key. What I want to do is save in the form the name of the position, for example (Manager), but send the code of this field to the bank. I made an Insert in the bank with the positions and I also made a combo charge to bring the positions to that field position.

visual-studioif your problem is unrelated to the IDE. See this question to understand the difference between IDE, programming language and compilers. Other than that, SQL Developer does not seem to me the name of a database, I may be mistaken, but I think the database you are using is Oracle.– Jéf Bueno
When programming the data Binding of the controls in the form you can choose which properties to use for display/editing and which to use for identification of the displayed item. The solution to this question is a kind of tutorial of C# Winforms/Webforms/ASP.NetMVC... or any other tool you are using. I think the ideal thing for you is to look for tutorial of the tool you are using to learn the basic concepts and resources, and then ask more specific questions.

You who show a form in the title name, but save in the table Work Cod_position, if that is it, I see no problem this more than correct, what you need to do is a JOIN with your tables to load in your form the TITLE NAME and not the Code.
