I have a file, example: a movie "The avengers.mp4" and I only want the public to view, but if someone tries to access to download is not allowed to download.

Trying to create a megafilmesHD version? : Joking aside, I don’t think it’s possible, if you allow it to be played online, the content needs to be downloaded so it can be played. There are ways to make it harder, like encryption(nextflix uses this feature), Memory Stream so c# that bufferiza in the client’s memory without saving physical file, among others. But it’s practically impossible to stop someone from reproducing the content.

try to put the movie on a separate server, and put a pro ip only access policy where your site will be hosted, so if someone tries to follow the link where your movie will be hosted will give an error 503. I’ve never tried no but I think funf.

I’ve never used it, so I won’t risk writing about it, but the W3C standard for it is Encrypted Media Extensions.

Anything you try won’t work. At best, it can be difficult. But even if it’s difficult to do so, the user will still have the audio and video in the stream. So just play and use a stream recorder. Gone. All in vain. It would only work if you can have control of the client application.
