Mac , Andy does not recognize the door imusb

I bought a UNO Rduino ( I believe it’s not the original ) , I downloaded the IDE , installed normal , connected the board ( lit normally , I went to the IDE on tools > boards and selected Arduino/genuine UNO , I went on tools > ports was to select usb , however there is this option , only bluetooth ... What can I do to recognize and program ? Remembering that I’m with Macbook pro , and mac os x ultima version ... Thank you foto do arduino

  • See if that help you. I use Linux, but I’m researching the problem to help you.

  • Can you recognize if the serial converter is an atmega8 chip or an FTDI? If it is an FTDI, you will probably need to install the driver FTDI. If you do not know how to identify, please take a photo (with a good quality) of the chip next to the female USB connector (standard B) of your Arduino. But it is very simple, just read if there is an identifier like "atmega8" or "FTDI".

  • I’m by the smartphone. Can you read something on the chip next to the oscillating crystal and the USB connector? It looks a lot like an FTDI, but I can’t be sure unless it’s actually written. Try to install the driver, have the instructions in the link of my first comments.

Among the various models and clones of Arduino, some offer USB/serial adapter that is recognized automatically by the Mac, others require a very simple driver installation, and others still require a bit of a laborious driver installation.
