I’m walking in a responsive portfolio project, and I’m configuring ie7 with pieces of own css, I’m already using modernizer.

I use Ubuntu 13.10 and to run IE7 I use Wine with playonlinux, and it seems to me that the site I’m building has less brightness than Google Chrome that runs direct on Ubuntu, this is normal?

Remembering that for development I use firefox because of firebug, which helps a lot.

What exactly is "glow"? Are you talking about filter: brightness(2.0);? Can you show an image? Place the relevant code. Make a fiddle playing. Help us help you!

Yes it is normal, since each browser has its own way of rendering the page.

There are browsers that have practically the same rendering base, as is the case of Chrome and firefox, but IE (internet explorer) I consider a browser outside of any standard.

look at this comparison image.

Comparação entre o Google Chrome e o Internet Explorer

Google’s own home page looks different in the two browsers, the brightness, the font and look that in Google guys are professionals and can not make it exactly the same site in IE and Chrome.

  • I see no difference in brightness in the image. What is "brightness"?
