I had been reading certain licenses of some SGBD software along with the BD itself and a very confusing doubt arose.

The Mariadb (Free version) it is open-source, but I could distribute it, along with my application commercially? I’m talking about the following case:

1 - My application it does not include the Mariadb in along with the code, it just makes the connection with a plugin with LGPL license, which in case would be the Java available on the Mariadb site itself.

For example, one file is my application and the other is the installer of the database separately.

I don’t understand. Is it a question or a statement? What is the doubt?

With LGPL you can distribute with proprietary codes. You just can’t do derivative works without opening the code.

So in case, I could distribute, my application + connection LGPL plugin (together) + the separate database installer?

Yes, if the plugin is lgpl I am absolutely sure. About the bank, whether it is freeware or open, too
