I use Microsoft Word as a text editor (Office 2013 package). I built document with a document with numerous equations making use of the tool Microsoft Equation 3.0. However every time I save the document, I ask to update the figures indexes, or open the document on another machine, some equations (and symbols) lose the formatting I applied.
With this context, I would like to know if there are any reformat forms (routine) or standardize these equations. So that these formations are not lost regardless of the operation you do in/with document.
I apologize if I’m running away from the scope of the O.R., but I was curious, because the other day I found a routine in VB that increases or reduces the size of the batch images, which, broke me a huge branch.
I tried this question in specific forums of the tool, but until then I did not succeed. But in view of the plurality of professionals who access the OS, I decided to look for a tip, since I’m tired of passing equation by equation/symbol by symbol, every time I need to deliver a report.
PS: if it is necessary any more information request in the comments, as soon as possible I answer or update the question.
Have you thought about using Latex? The learning curve is great, but the hassle you avoid by not using Word to write equations is worth it (Daniel: I am a mathematician, so I may have a biased opinion on this subject).

Jean, to use Latex you will not need time to learn. One - two hours at most. It’s very simple, not to mention that there are great websites exemplifying everything you need.

Jean, can you create a [mcve] (example Word document) in which you reproduce this "problem"? You could also add some "before and after" images. What kind of "formatting" are you talking about? Bold type? I wonder why I couldn’t reproduce no similar problem here in my Word (Office 2010).

Btw, I think your question fits on the site by involving VBA (which is programming). But the problem is not clear. And by the way, as a note for the future, I also suggest that you follow the advice of Mr @Marcusnunes. After you learn Latex never want to return to use Word. :)

Grateful for the suggestion @Luiz Vieira. I’m going through problems at the moment, so I can build the example. In short, a very specific case, consider a (alpha) symbol inserted in the body of the text, formatted in ME 3.0 in font size 12 and is Text; and this same symbol arranged in a Table, with font 10 and Mathematical style. If you edit one or the other, the formatting of the editing element will receive the last training. I understand that this may be a limitation of ME 3.0, but there must be some way around this inconvenience.Yes I will learn Latex

Ah! Okay, so your problem has nothing to do with equations, but with the use of styles (and you hadn’t mentioned this in your question!!!). Styles are what the name says: a definition of formatting reusable. If you apply a style to a text snippet (it doesn’t matter if it’s an equation or not!) and then change it manually, Word will disregard the update if you don’t apply it to the style. If you want to have two distinct types of formatting (for equations in the table and outside), you should create two distinct styles!

And, I’m sorry, but your question is not part of the scope of the site. It almost did not before, now it certainly does not. I just don’t vote to close because... because I can’t, since the system won’t let me because there’s an active reward. But your problem is actually difficulty using Word. Read about styles in documentation.

The style of the text is not connected with the style of the equation (Microsoft Equation 3.0), work in parallel. Anyway thank you for the considerations. My intention was to cause no debate, and if so, I close the issue myself.

It doesn’t matter if it’s not on. If you use styles for the equation, you have the same problem. On the question, leave it open. After all, you’ve already spent the reward yourself. And discussions are part of a community. :)

Not for the reward spent, even for not caring about it. But for the knowledge. Snapping, the "Style" (Matrix, Vector, Mathematician, Variable) of the object generated by Microsoft Equation 3.0, in this specific case, it has nothing to do with the STYLE [https://support.office.com/pt-br/article/Personalizar-stylios-no-Word-d38d6e47-f6fc-48eb-a607-1eb120dec563] of the text, they do not work the same, so they are different problems. I understood what you said. You didn’t understand what I said. I I’m not saying they’re the same function Word. What I said is that if you use styles in Equation Editor, there also you must configure the formatting directly in the styles and use different styles for the variations.

Thus, you are also welcome to post doubts in this regard, in addition to VBA doubts. But, if you prefer, also have the Tex.
