Division always resulting in zero

Question

The Alpha result is only returning 0. Why?

        double[] values = new double[valores.length];

        double alfa = 2 / ( values.length + 1);

You are doing a division of integers, so the result is entire, even if you then store it in a double. Then divide a double, thus:

return 2.0 / (values.length + 1);
