I have installed in my Windows 7 the xampp to develop a system in Codeigniter. Beauty, no problems.... I use the tags <?= $variavel; ?>, to print something in the view ... it works that is a beauty.
However, recently, I switched to Centos 6, installed PHP 5.3.3 and put my Codeigniter system to the wheel and realized that it presented some errors... broke and broke my head, and found that the problem was in opening php in the view (<?= ... ?>), because when I changed to <?php echo $...; ?>, worked!

Is it some version of PHP? or what?
'Cause if I have to change all my code.
