Publishing App to Apple Store with restricted content

In recent days, I faced a problem in publishing an App on Apple, it simply blocks me from wanting the user to use user/password to have access to all the content of the App. Reason: it is an educational app, and the school provides an id/password for the student, it is only for use of educational institutions.

Apple requires any user to have access to all content without having to log in, but several apps within the store have the same business rule, and Apple blocks me for this very reason and the other Apps are running normally.

My question is, have these publishers somehow circumvented these demands? If that’s how I can do it, or what’s the best way for me to take my app with this business rule inside the store.

I had this same problem with an update of an application (the same had already been published with only user content and password), they claim that the application has to display to the user a previous content before it provides any kind of data, I advise you to create some area of the app that has institutional information or create a tutorial with internal images of the app (can be a solution, never tried it, but I see several apps like this and private content), or create a beautiful argument for them to approve (and be lucky kkk)

  • Jeferson Thanks for the answer, The App has the part to try, which contains 10% of the content, so that teachers can test without having a registration, but even so they rejected, said the app has to have all content released if the user did not want to use a login/password, I’m tense with it =/, has school that only uses Ipad =/

  • I am facing this problem, it is something insane to think that they test all applications manually. The worst is that they are taking 2 to 3 days for an answer.

  • Did you submit in justification that the app requires login/password previously provided or simply submitted? Because I have already published 2 apps, one of them being educational and another being corporate and both were accepted without problems. The home screen of both is a login screen only, no access to anything else.

  • Luis Henrique, thank you so much for the tip, just yesterday I sent the login/password tests to them, and we will see that will give now =P

If an app that is published in the App Store requires some login it is necessary that you provide a test account so that during the review period they can assess whether the content and functionality of the app are in accordance with the guidelines.

Apps that are in the App Store and have some form of login, have not been scammed, probably sent a test account.

  • What happens, Gian, is that Apple is applying the rule that the app displays content to the user before requesting any registration. Even providing the login at the time of sending they evaluate it now, I’ve had problems even asking you the gender of the individual in the register, they claimed that I have to give the option of the guy inform if he wants

  • Strange, a little while ago I published an app, showed nothing without logging in, and passed normally. It was rejected the first time I had forgotten to provide such information.

  • Gian they are informing me now, that it is necessary to have the content open, because the user is not obliged to play with a record . is registration is an option to +.
