I need to enable the Federated plugin in mysql. I am adding the Federated in my my.cnf file when I check by the Engines show; it says it is not enabled. I’m using Mac OSX 10.11 and mysql 5.2.26. Any solution for this?

I found a solution; I added my.cnf inside the /etc folder and already enabled my Federated.
