SQL server error: local server is inaccessible

When I try to use SQL server management studio 2008 I get this error:

local server is inaccessible

  • You have started your local server service?

  • How do I do it buddy?

Start the SQL service, va in Start Menu --> type services (or services), will open a list of windows services, browse the SQL SERVER service and start it.

Below an example image, this is not the sql service is just an example, but the process is the same.

Find the service (it will be written sql server on it), click on it and on the left click on Start.

  • Paulo Roberto, there is nothing related to SQL in the list of services, I’ve reviewed it some 5 vzs and found nothing. Does reinstalling it solve ? If yes, as I do pq n found no Uninstaller from it, only several things from it in removing programs from Control Panel but not a single option.

    After a search here found that SQL express was missing but agr q got it and management studio tbm appears inaccessible server. I have already checked the SQL server express service and this enabled, but it keeps saying that this inaccessible qnd try to connect me.
