I’m conducting a research of native mobile development alternatives with some market tools. In addition to the platforms' own native development tools (iOS and Android, for example), I found some interesting tools such as:

  1. Codenameone
  2. LWUIT codenameOne precursor, on which it is based.

I also conducted a brief research on Java FX for mobile development and did not find anything that can be used beyond the javaME.

There are a few more tools for native mobile development?

Try the appery.io

Because it’s a good option:

  • Use jQuery, jQuery mobile and Phonegap libraries;
  • Use javascript language for any platform;
  • Easy to design graphical interfaces;
  • Compile apps for android and iOS through the service;

I have used with excellent results.

  • Ola Raphael, then I write a script it compiles and generates an apk ? (if android)

  • Not only that... it has drag-and-drop features for the layout, uses javascript, works with stylesheet, and through the platform itself, compile and generate an apk (android) and ipa (iOS)... worth you take a look
