The following code leaves Carousel occupying the entire page. How do I position it in the left half of the page and not occupying the entire page height?

<!-- Left and right controls -->
<a class="left carousel-control" href="#myCarousel" role="button" data-slide="prev">
<span class="glyphicon glyphicon-chevron-left" aria-hidden="true"></span>
<span class="sr-only">Previous</span>

<a class="right carousel-control" href="#myCarousel" role="button" data-slide="next">

</html>
Okay, that’s exactly what I needed. Just one more question: With this, it’s fixed at the top of the page, how do I get it down a bit? leave this size in the center of the page, on the left side. so that above I can add a menu.

you can use the Nav component of bootstrap = http://getbootstrap.com/components/#navbar-Static-top, I edited the response and put a menu, so you have an idea.
