Good afternoon, I need to open a client’s Progress database to make an import and I’m not getting it. I need some help to know some way to work with this bank, whether by code or applications.

these are the files obtained from the client:

  • Dude, you don’t have the file for backup bank?

  • What I got were these files, how to get a backup file?

  • Backing up the bank, I honestly don’t know what are these image files.

To open the bank you will need Progress. Then edit the info.st by entering the path of the bank where it is saved. Run prostrct info.st to repair the database on site. Then open by prowin32.exe, Tools menu, Datadictionary and connect the database by entering the location of the same only.

  • When any other situation arises where I need to open a bank in Ogress, I will try to use your alternative, thank you very much!

You’ll need to have Progress in the machine.

When installed it goes to Data Administration -> Database -> Connect. Enter the "*. db" path and you will already be connected to the database. Then only use the Data Dictionary to view the tables and fields.

Other than that I don’t think there’s any Progress Bank interpreter
