Set up domain on Amazon with Route 53

I started using AWS recently in the free version and bought a domain in Go Daddy, after I moved up my instance I tried to configure the domain with this tutorial

I basically allotted an IP with Elastic IP and configured it on Route 53 as described in the tutorial.
When I first visited, I was redirected to the default Go Daddy page (that default "You registered your domain. Now, put it to work." ) and other times to the correct page of my instance, only that it persisted even after about 30 minutes of me having set up, not all the servers redirected me to the correct address.

Yesterday I dislocated the IP, put another and repeated the tutorial, I waited to test this morning but this time already fall straight to the default page of Go Daddy (I changed the domain settings in Go Daddy)

What could I be doing wrong?

    DNS takes a long time to broadcast, up to 24 hours. Couldn’t this be it? (Assuming it actually works at some point.)

    @epx Yes, that really was it and I ended up delaying the process even more in the attempts to reconfigure. I think the deadline is up to 48 hours

The tutorial used is running, the steps are the same:

  1. Request the IP;
  2. Generate DNS server list for IP, 2 servers is good, 4 are great;
  3. Insert DNS information into host;

After that use tools like What is my DNS to verify the spread of DNS and traceroute to check if your computer can reach the server.

In the last cases I had DNS propagation problem were caused by my access provider, even with What is my DNS indicating me propagation in all places in the world. I solved this by changing in my router the operator’s standard DNS by the Opendns, you can use Google as well.
