I tried to install VS Express 2013 for Windows Desktop on my notebook that had just been formatted and installed Windows 8.
I received a message in the setup complaining of pre requirements.
Before starting to install the pre requirements, I decided to upgrade the OS to Windows 8.1. Still the problem persisted, but this time the setup asked for another prerequisite.
I was installing as far as it (the setup) was asking... Until it came a time I got nervous and installed the VS 2013 Ultimate with Blend (hoping to install all the necessary requirements). After this installation I started again the setup of Express for Windows Desktop and now the setup simply says something like "Could not install VS Express 2013 for Windows Desktop: Invalid Argument", or "Failed Execution" (I don’t remember the exact mistake, I’ll edit the question when I get home, but it doesn’t escape much of it).
Has anyone ever suffered from it or has an idea of how to solve it?
PS: VS Ultimate with Blend works...
Thanks!
It’s this file, but the MD5 is different: b97fad7462144c56c2637520457b71fa
