I have the following doubt regarding the use of software licenses.
Today how it is done and how it is most used to create licenses to use a software, highlighting that I have an application developed on Desktop.
I would like the tips that if there is any tool or method for creating such licenses and how to make them expire after a certain time.
I am marketing my software for a monthly amount, and in this license I would like to do the lock by machine and for a certain time.

I made a good contract that is signed with the client in the negotiation and put a blocking function that prevents the application to be placed in a machine that is not licensed to use, ie i Gero a file encrypted with data that are generated by an application of mine with information generated in the client machine, that later when the software is run the check if the information matches, thus releasing its use.
Generally license or you can create your own with a contract signed in notary. Or you use one already in the market, just include it with the software. nor need to develop something so complex, because the idea of copyright is to protect you legally.

Your question is too wide. I don’t know if you are asking about license types, or about the software protection itself. There are numerous methods of protecting software.

Basically, if you do nothing, you’re already protected by the law 9609/98 and 9610/98. And since there is no software patent in Brazil, the most you can do is register in the INPI to prove authorship (but there are other ways). You can also choose a free software license (but there are several terms in these licenses that are not accepted by the Brazilian legal system, such as the liability waiver, etc.), or create your own license and register along with the software.
