Error php permission while uploading

Question

I’m trying to upload my files to the lampp server but I haven’t been able to, which may be occurring ?

Your php process is probably not allowed to write in the directory, go to the folder where you want to save the files and run the commands below.

To find out which webserver user can use the whoami command in php

    //Exemplo para descobrir o usuario_webserver
    echo shell_exec("whoami");

Done this call the php file it will print the user who is running the process.

Supposing that the folder is /opt/lampp/htdocs/Renan/jrassessoria

Applying write permissions, for this use the commands below

sudo chown seu_usuario_do_linux:usuario_webserver_retornado_pelo_codigo_exemplo_acima /opt/lampp/htdocs/renan/jrassessoria -R
sudo chmod 775 /opt/lampp/htdocs/renan/jrassessoria -R

Usually the webserver user will be httpd or www-data, depending on the linux distro you use.
