My field (Uitextfield) does not display the application keyboard when it is selected through the simulator.

  • Renan, I apologize for the not-so-specific question and thank you for the informed link. Problem solved by changing IOS Simulator > Keyboard configuration.

In the simulator, immediately you can use Command + k to show or hide the keyboard.

By default it comes hidden because the option Connect Hardware Keyboard on the menu Hardware > Keyboard is selected, so your data input pattern will be via the physical keyboard Mac.

You can uncheck this option to always display the simulator keyboard, but this will invalidate your physical keyboard and no key will take action, which is sometimes useful to gain agility in typing.
