GRUB does not appear on pc boot

The problem is this: I have 3 partitions: one for backup, one for Windows 10, and the other for Windows 8.1. As I liked W10, and wanted to install Ubuntu, I formatted the 8.1 partition and installed Ubuntu there. But after that, GRUB does not work. When the computer is switched on, it only shows a purple screen, but without the boot options; it spends about 3 seconds and the purple screen disappears and already enters Ubuntu directly. I’ve done all the processes of installing GRUB by the terminal, but it comes to nothing (comma, just gave me a headache to try to get out of a prompt, I had to go live), already installed by Ubuntu Central, It also did not work.

Does anyone give me a light? rs

  • Kaleb, try asking your question on http://askubuntu.com/ or http://ubuntuforum-br.org. Here it is very unlikely to get this answer, because it is not a question about programming.
