Basically they calculate the angles of people’s facial features in order to determine the pattern of wrinkles and other traits, and based on that think about the age of the person. You can see below a more complete response from a member of the Bing development team who participated in the creation of the system, where he gives more details about the algorithm:

Paulo Costa, I edited your question to try to make it clearer and objective, within the standards of Sopt. Please check the same, if it continues according to your initial objectives, and in case of disagreement feel free to edit or undo my editing, but try to make it responsive. (Sorry for editing your post abruptly, but it would be closed quickly) = D

It would be interesting to understand why this question is being voted on to close and this one has four votes in favour: How google’s "Search for similar image" feature works?. It would be because the other AP said that it is wanting to build something similar and this one not?
– Math
I found the question interesting, I believe that there is no problem in understanding and can contribute to the sharing of knowledge among members quietly. I’ve seen a lot of other questions on Stackoverflow, and that’s no freak. Let us use common sense, it is no question that harms this forum.
– hamboldt
I voted for reopening.
– OnoSendai
@Math, the first 3 votes to close, was in first version of the question, until that point until I had voted to close, but after the Hamboldt response, I understood what it was about and decided to try to help the AP, to improve the question that until then was not clear and very subjective (in my understanding), so I edited the question, I suggested in the comments that the AP check my edition and removed my closing vote. And now I’ve voted to reopen.

@Fernando ok, now the two are open and with 4 votes in favor :) I feared that the two would be closed after my comment, rs.. but apparently everything went well. Let’s see what answers will come.
