Hello, I have a website in Malta and some product pages no longer exist, but there are other products with similar names. What happens? Many of these links are still being accessed, what I would like to do is when a 404 error is found on the site and STRING URI is redirected to the search

EX:
http://www.loja.com.br/index.php/iphone6-16gb-preto.html
Irá redirecionar para:
http://www.loja.com.br/index.php/catalogsearch/result/?q=iphone6+16gb+preto

So I will have the user on the page yet and will show other products you find in the search.

  • Are you sure you want to go through with this? It’s bad for SEO. If you confirm that you really want to do it like this, I’ll show you how to do it.

  • It was precisely for SEO that was done. Error 404 is not a good.

  • With me it worked... I edited only 1 product and he identified the others... I put that product as URL TEMPORARIA.

The easiest way to do it is to use the URL rewrite module of the user itself.

Go to the backend admin -> Catalog -> Rewrite URL and add the desired routes.

  • I believe that this would be the option to edit product by product, if it still existed would have it listed in the catalog, however the links that are on the product web do not exist, more so generates ERROR 404. I want a solution in Magento to deal with this 404 error and redirect to the search, because there are products with similar names.

  • this Voce option no longer needs to have the product, only its input url and simple destination like this

so very bad to do like this, has a lot of product, changes a lot of things all the time, has to be more dynamic, this way is not the easiest for me here gets a lot of work, so I’m trying to redirect by error 404, I think I’ll already get and put here.

  • @rafaelphp can exist several ways I passed you one of them, it is interesting also you show some attempt, some effort on your part

  • this is not the easiest way.. is actually the most appropriate/correct way. But the AP seems to want to go the wrong way, which at first is easier.
