After reading the comments ON THIS TOPIC, dated 2014, I ask: currently, to check if a number is a mobile phone, just read the string backwards, checking if the eighth character is a number between 6 and 9?. Because the rule may have changed after the inclusion of the ninth digit in SP phones.
Please, does anyone know if this is correct? I will need to make an Android app for exporting contacts, which will be used by an SMS sending app, so you will not be allowed to export landline numbers. In principle the application will be used in Brazil.
I appreciate any information, or even some official text of Anatel (I could not find on their website) confirming that this rule remains the same now in 2015!
