Place an icon instead of an HTML string

I have the following code:

<a (click)="verificarSeEscondeSaldo()"> {{ escondeSaldo ? 'Exibir' : 'Ocultar'}}</a>

treecho correctly does what I wish, but instead of the text: 'display' or 'hide' I would like to put an icon.

Can someone help how to do??
