I’m with this problem, I tried to change the settings in visual Studio Code and nothing, I did not find anything on the internet about it, outside the terminal the Apare accent normally now in the input data() will not.
The direct terminal will. Inside the Terminal in VS will not.
And if you run directly on the Linux terminal, what is the behavior?

Unfortunately I couldn’t reproduce the problem. I have been searching in the repository of Vscode and I saw that many users are with the same problem and is not unique to Ubuntu, also on Mac there are users with the same difficulty.

Thanks for the contribution Augusto Vasques, I hope that then it is soon resolved because it discourages us to try to develop something and has these "little things " that disturb.
