You look like you’re subject to opinion/debate, but I wanted to try to fit a question into that line.
It is important for a good programmer to know how to evaluate trade-offs (pros and cons of adopting a particular approach or technology to solve a problem).
What can be reasonably considered a "peaceful point" and objective in terms of enabling us to have better insights when assessing the advantages and disadvantages of a new technology, a new programming technique or applying this knowledge in solving problems in the area?
It does not need to be a 100% assertive answer, I think it is enough to be useful to a majority in the community, especially beginners.
I expect answers from the newest staff as well. Surely the younger generations who grew up with the Internet must have something to say in terms of acquiring information, filtering and transforming into knowledge today.
I gave the +1 because I find a valid debate and certainly important for many programmers. : -) However, I am obliged to confess that I do not know if it is the "ideal place" because of the opinionated character and debate. Let’s see what everyone else thinks.

+1 @Luizfelipe the question is really interesting. It could be asked at META, maybe? because it would already be a debate that involves the whole community...

I don’t think she’s "goal" enough to be discussed at the Meta. Discussing the possibility of reopening is something I understand that it would make sense to ask in Meta, for example (not that I am particularly suggesting reopening), now the question itself is about programming and so it would be appropriate to do more here than in Meta.
