How to verify and manipulate native LOG in Sqlserver?

Question

I am working in an application generating a Batch service being developed in T-SQL. Just like Mysql and Postgresql have their LOG files, where are these LOG files in Sqlserver?

Another question is pertinent to handling of these messaging logs. It is possible to manipulate LOG messages in Sqlserver?

For example, I use a Java API through log4J: log.info("Running function XXXX");

I would not like to create these procedures in files, but rather, take advantage of the tool’s native LOG feature.
