I have a column in Excel with 38 lines. Inside there are two words: Yellow and White, I want to count how many times those words have been reported. I used the following formula:

=cont.se(A1:A38;"Branca")

But it didn’t work, which is wrong? inserir a descrição da imagem aqui

The mistake #NAME indicates that Excel failed to identify a certain part of the formula. Instead of CONT.SE use COUNTIF if you are using the English version.

=COUNTIF(A1:A38;"Branca")
  • I tried only with the , and Excel didn’t even accept.

  • my Excel is in English, anyway I tried and it was not.

  • 1

It worked! Only instead of , the correct is ;.

  • I’m trying this command =Count.se(D4:D200;"Engine") but the error, as it would be in English?

  • Can solve used this command =CONT.SE(D4:D200;"engine")
