GIT with local network server as repository

Hello,

I have a situation particularly similar to this one Configuring git for local network

And at the same time, I think this one would also be a strong candidate for my scenario How to create a Git server on the internal network?

That is, in my case work developing on windows stations but I have a local server with centos, I would ask please to confirm if my understanding is correct:

  • create a repository on centos server (gitlab or something like that)
  • clone on the machines, work local and then push to the local server
  • here is the doubt as I would also send to my production server (all right I could make a bash rotated by cron every 5 minutes for example, but it is right ?)

I have a private repository in my organization, so I thought I’d update the master first on my local server, then upload it to the private server.

Not wanting to abuse , but taking advantage, there is some form of my production server and the private repository if they speak (I saw that Umbler for example uses auto deploy that somehow synchronizes the repositories, I pushed the master in the private github repository she goes there and clones it).

I’m new to the subject versioning...I know the concept well but the practice is still a little confusing when it comes to the environment of approval and production (my case, because DEV is on local network).

Ah...and I’ve lowered the https://git-scm.com/book/pt-br/v2 then I will read in detail
