"proj_api. h not found in standard or Given Locations" when installing package in R

I’m trying to install the tmap in R and appears

Installing package into ː/home/Americo/R/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-library/3.6' (as ːlib' is unspecified) also Installing the dependencies ?lwgeom', ?tmaptools', ?Stars'

the following error appears when it tries to install 'lwgeom'

configure: error: proj_api. h not found in standard or Given Locations. ERROR: Configuration failed for package ːlwgeom'

I’m running R-studio on Linux Mint. I’ve tried installing libproj-dev on the terminal and downloading deb. It always says it’s already installed.

I’ve also installed the rgdal. Everything worked out, but the mistake continues for the tmap

Can anyone tell me what the problem is? How can I fix?

After days of searching, the only solution found that worked for me was to install lwgeom in an older version.

There is the option to install lwgeom version 0.2-2 which, according to the discussions, has no such error, from:

https://github.com/r-spatial/lwgeom

But, for the mine computer, the only version that worked was:

lwgeom 0.1-7

https://cran.r-project.org/src/contrib/Archive/lwgeom/lwgeom_0.1-7.tar.gz

Hello. Try this command in R: remotes::install_github("r-Spatial/lwgeom"). It worked in version 3.6.3. Even you will have version 0.2-4. I hope it helps.
