Doubt about use of virtual directory in IIS and filetable

I need to store files in one FileTable. As I do not know the local path where the files that are in FileTable stay, I peed the network path of the directory of FileTable, and thus access the directory of the FileTable.

I need to make the application save the files in the FileTable, then created a virtual directory pointing to the mapping.

It’s giving error 404 (not found) so I wanted to know: I can use the virtual directory for this purpose and the problem is some configuration, or I can not use the virtual directory in this case?

  • I think much wrong that approach. The right thing would be to write a small application that accesses the directory and returns the file you want, but with the bank intermediating.

Since I don’t know where the Filetable directory is locally on the machine (I honestly think there’s no way to access it locally, just via sharing) this was a way that I thought, I figured it was a "gambiarra", I’ll think of something else, something more like what you suggested. Thank you.
