HTML design looks strange

This is basic HTML structure and I’m running it with a live-server, however, the web design is strange. Some body text is very far from the left edge, the css file that is in the code, is a CSS reset and ended up importing and even then there was no difference.

<html>
    <head>
        <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css"
         href="notesApp/normalize.css">
    </head>
    <body>
        Some body text
    </body>
</html>

Image appears without import, but no problem. inserir a descrição da imagem aqui

  • click to view the source code of the page and see if you really import the normalize because it was to solve this margin problem for sure!

    Test leaving the <body> in a single line and see if it resolves, but if possible post the CSS code tbm

  • So this margin problem is happening only with the texts without the tags, if I place a header, or a paragraph, it gets right.

  • i think normalize does this, but in doubt puts inside it body { margin:0; padding:0; }

  • I put it on, and it hasn’t changed a bit

  • I joined the console and this error appeared: Refused to apply style from 'http://127.0.0.1:8080/notesApp/normalize.css' because its MIME type ('text/html') is not a supported stylesheet MIME type, and Strict MIME checking is enabled.

  • Dude your mistake is in your normalize even, I’ll post my test here with the normalize I just downloaded. dai vc replaces your ok?

  • Okay, from the mistake I realized it was because I started with comments on normalize.css, I ended up taking comments off and still. But I’d appreciate it if you could send

  • just copy and paste the normalize.css

  • 1

    Open the browser console in the network tab, reload the page, select the css in question, and print it to see what’s showing it there. By your print, the way is notesApp/. Must be giving 404

  • How do I do this print?

  • I used what @Matheusmuriel said, and it worked, but I want to understand why this

  • Because there’s some CSS rule, maybe some browser pattern, that’s forcing monospaced fonts and preform spaces, showing all the white spaces of the html source code (instead of merging everything into a single space). I still think your css file is not being loaded.

  • So how would I upload the CSS file?

    Yeah, I clicked on it and I saw that yours turned out pretty well. Mine is still with this problem, and it appears that error I commented from Refused to apply if I put the folder in href
