Share a table for two different databases in version 9.4

Good afternoon , we are trying to make a trigger in the laboratory of our system , We are currently trying to make even distinct bases share the product table , ai would work like this every change made in the table on one basis altered in the other , Could you do that ? Thanks in advance

  • use dblink : http://www.postgresonline.com/journal/archives/44-Using-DbLink-to-access-other-PostgreSQL-Databases-and-Servers.html

  • For this version (2014) the only solution is dblink, evaluate if it really meets your needs. In newer versions there is the possibility to use a Foreign Data Wrapper.

  • I don’t know what the requirements of your (s) application(s) are but you have already evaluated whether the use of different schemas, in place of different databases, would not be more appropriate to your environment since you want to share tables?
