basic but specific question:

In a video class asked to download the VS Code and the Node.js to start programming in Javascript

How do I have the Visual Studio Community 2017 installed, I can follow the lessons using this IDE (because it looks good complete)? Or I’m gonna need VS Code anyway?

You are killing the ant with the bazooka. I think Visual Studio will hardly provide better tools than Vscode. I even think it is worse, as FDI is significantly heavier. In short, if I were you, I would use Vscode, which is ideal for programming on JS. :)

  • The VS is definitely heavier, but I’ve already installed it. :(

  • No one prevents you from installing more than one application on your pc.

It is possible yes, even there are some videos on the internet talking about Javascript in Visual Studio 2017

Video programming in Visual Studio 2017

But if you don’t have much experience with the language you may have more difficulty following the video lessons, but I believe it is a matter of custom.
