Is there some kind of dissemination of min and max ZIP of a specific region?

I would like to get the CEP's minimum and maximum of a given region for the purpose of freight calculation for an e-commerce in Opencart.

The objective is to restrict the free freight to the capital of Porto Alegre making the CEP informed outside this region receive the freight calculations according to values practiced by the Post and if it is a zip code of Porto Alegre, apply free freight.

So, there is some documentation or rules on some site or even in the Post Office that allows you to determine minimum and maximum ZIP of a certain region or some specification to do this?

In this format you want there is nothing (yet), I usually use some API like this one: http://apps.widenet.com.br/busca-cep/api-de-consulta to discover the city the person is and so perform actions based on them.

I recommend doing this, because in a single query you will have all the data related to the zip code in question, it will not be necessary a query to the local database and if false a Post API.

  • It’s perfect to know the city because that’s enough.
