I would like to know your opinion and experience on the use of the framework SCRUM in a closed scope project.
It’s possible and it makes sense ?
I imagine that the recommended would be to change the way the project is conducted to the agile methodology, and ensure higher value deliveries, but there are situations that is difficult when the client does not change his culture.

I have worked on projects without scope/scope, using the SCRUM framework. The important thing is to follow the methodology and all use the same vocabulary. Follow the values, roles, artifact events and rules of Crum. The fact that there is a scope/scope serves to budget a delivery date of that scope/scope. I hope I’ve helped.
In fact, the closed scope facilitates the Austrian question. But is there any strategy/a step by step or a guide that shows points to be able to fit Raw in this type of project ? Maybe someone here has been through this before. PS: I still can’t mark that I like your answer because I don’t have a high reputation here at stackoverflow

I don’t see why not, you close the scope and then manage the project as parts, in the end everything has to fit what was closed. If it works I don’t know, some people, those who called it Screw up, They’d say it never does, but since the scope is open, no one understands, after all, if you don’t know where you’re going, how long it’s going to take, how much it’s going to cost, whatever happens, as long as you get there and you’re even remotely nice, you’re good. I love open scope, but I understand the customer who doesn’t love it. I rarely see these methodologies deliver more value.

What delivers value is technical competence and that passes for the person not believing in magical methodologies that make everything work well. Methodologies are useful, but they are not magic, many people believe it, even because they are learned in preaching.

What makes complicated is also such the date wall! It is what I usually see the "divide to conquer".
