Do you know any libraries for plotting python graphics besides Matplotlib?

I would like to try other types of tables. I want to make a classification using k-Means and looking for some with animation feature, without I need to make this animation in Mallorca.

Plotly is an Open Source platform. It has excellent graphics and resources of animations.

Other alternatives with excellent graphics:

  • Cairoplot is a very simple library created by Brazilians. With it it is possible to create 6 types of graphics, including picha, donut, bars, lines, etc. The graphics are very elegant.

  • Seaborn, the closest competitor to Matplotlib.

  • Is cairoplot active? I contributed something to it, several years ago - but I never touched it again - she didn’t have many pretensions, like animations.

  • It’s -looks like not much - the last one touched it a while ago- it’s got a Fork on github with a Python 3 port, but the last commit was 4 years ago - https://github.com/m-labs/cairoplot3 - maybe it still works. But the graphics look more beautiful because of using gradients in the elements. There was no support for animation.

    I found open source 2018 using Cairoplot, so I thought it was valid to indicate.

  • how cool. Well, but unless she was refactored after her time contributing, it would make a library hard to animate - she was kind of tied up. The "Cairo" library itself, which is the cairoplot backend, actually looks like "stop", but it’s "finished" - it’s "Feature complete" to create 2D images and graphics, with several different backends - (screen output, image files, etc...).
