I would like to study more on data analysis in the R and would like to book tips,.

  • Any specific topic on data analysis?

  • Something more Data Science-oriented, an introductory book that also had R would be very nice.

In addition to the material commented by Guilherme Parreira, recommend the book Introduction to Data Mining with R Applications, by Leandro Augusto Silva.

This book is very good for this stage, it addresses issues related to data mining, predictive models and RNA, all topics with application or discussion in R.

And, an issue that I find extremely relevant at this early stage, the book is in.

  • Thanks! I had my eye on the book by the same author: Introduction to Data Mining. Basic Concepts, Algorithms and Applications. You know something about that too?

Unfortunately I don’t know this book.

There is a very good workbook on R to begin the studies, which is that of Professor Paulo Justiniano: http://www.leg.ufpr.br/~paulojus/embrapa/Rembrapa/

Springer has several books with "with R" ending, example:

An Introduction to Applied Multivariate Analysis with R

Introduction to Probability Simulation and Gibbs Sampling with R

then, just google "subject such.. with R", which he usually redirects to a Springer book.

For Data Science, this is a well-known book:

R for Data Science

Julian Faraway’s books are very good to read, and they’re basically about statistical modeling: http://www.maths.bath.ac.uk/~jjf23/
