Good afternoon, you guys!

I’m trying to make a test code here with a video running in the background, but for some reason there’s a time that works and there’s a time that doesn’t. If you catch up, go sometimes... I’m really confused.

I did in the Codepen, so if you could give me a hand here...

Hugs

  • I used this plugin once Ytplayer, worked really well!

  • Try to paste your code here on W3 I did and it worked ... but if saving to share the autoplay does not work should be blocked. Paste the code in place of the original and press RUN...https://www.w3schools.com/tags/tryit.asp?filename=tryhtml5_video_autoplay

  • Mboss, awesome design this one! Awesome! Enjoyed!

  • Denis, on W3 it worked... The first time. The second time I opened it, no! Is it something with the video file? Does it have to be encoded differently? w3schools.com/code/tryit.Asp? filename=G3FIFG2U2BM9

  • Test on your local server because I think these code platforms can block auto play.

  • Both on the site, as on the platforms, as on the site, everything stays the same. Hangs sometimes, sometimes goes... Haha madness

I read an article here and I think I understand what’s going on. The video file contains the audio track, even if it is silence. I removed the track and now it’s running nice. Browsers since April last year have the policy to disable autoplay if the video contains audio track. Explained, I think! haha

  • Our this I didn’t know was worth the explanation! If it’s Youtube video can right ! got it..

  • And it’s only in Chrome by the way because Firefox works !

  • The article is real, and is inside the Google Chrome site, however, here stopped working using this scheme too. So... Insane! hahaha

  • It is certain that this will avoid abuses because there is page with hidden player there is already abuse. But imagine the web radios and similar!

  • I work on a radio. Nowadays there is no longer the story of entering the page and already have sound. Or use iframe or another page that the person needs to log in to listen to the radio. Direct sound when you open the page I find total inconvenience! hahaha
