I installed Woocommerce in my theme, however, when I click on Login, Sign up, all this is in English. How do I translate these little texts? I only managed to translate the store, the panel and some other things.

As the plugin documentation on Translating Woocommerce (Localization), these are the steps:

  1. define the language of the site on wp-config.php

    define('WPLANG', 'pt_BR');

  2. the following notification should appear on Dashboard

  3. if no notification appears, it is necessary to force the download of the translation by going to

    Woocommerce > System Status > Tools > Force Translation Upgrade

Once done, the plugin is translated into administration and theme (in the parts that are shown by it):

  • In fact WPLANG was deprecated in the latest version of Wordpress. What you really need to do is download the translation packages or download the Wordpress translated into http://br.wordpress.org/, after this you can change the language in "Settings > General" in the "Site language" option. Done this is just follow step 2 on.

  • Thank you, it’s gone !

I couldn’t get Force the update, as quoted in numerous web posts. My version of Woocommerce is 2.5.2, with WP 4.4.2.

The way I found it was to download the WC translation files manually, and put them in the translation folder of plugins. Being set the WP as pt_BR, everything went as expected.

To download the translation files (.PO and .MO) in Brazilian Portuguese, just go ahttps://github.com/woothemes/Woocommerce-language-packs/blob/master/Packages/pt_BR.zip

Then extract the content in wp-content/Languages/plugins and the Woocommerce is translated.
