I would like to know how to manually activate the connection in Mysql Workbench, without the aid of a command IDE like xampp.
As I remember if I was making this connection via computer management, but I do not remember the next steps, I will be attaching an image of the steps that were made by me.
But I believe that these steps are not correct, I thank you.

You need to install the mysql server separate from xampp.
1 - mysql download, https://dev.mysql.com/downloads/mysql/
2 - install
After installing will appear the mysql service in your service manager, so you can start and stop the mysql service.
