I downloaded the installer executable, I put it to run as an administrator but it does not start the installer.

It asks for the permissions to run, Windows defaults, but after I confirm the actions it closes and stands by it.

Any idea what might be going wrong?

I have unpacked the folder and went straight to the installer, but the same problem happens.

follows the information from my system sistema

  1. Before anything desisntale any components you have downloaded.
  2. Check the System requirements for the version you intend to use.
  3. You can download the installer via the official website, and choose the version (Obs: the version community, is very complete and is free).

If the error continues you can try the steps described by troubleshooting. I recommend trying to start the Step 3 described in the documentation.

Step 3:

Delete the installation directory of Visual Studio to fix Upgrade issues Visual Studio installation bootstrapper is a minimal lightweight executable that installs the rest of the installer Visual Studio. Deleting installation files from Visual Studio and new bootstrapper execution may resolve some issues of updating.

Observing :

Performing the following actions will reinstall the Installer files from Visual Studio and will reset installation metadata.

  • Close the Visual Studio installer.
  • Delete the installation directory from Visual Studio. Normally, the directory is C: Program Files (x86) Microsoft Visual Studio Installer.
  • Run the Visual Studio installation bootstrapper. You can find the bootstrapper in the Downloads folder with a filename
which follows a standard vs_[Visual Studio Edition]__*.exe. If not
find this app, you can download the bootstrapper going
to the Visual Studio Downloads page and click Download to
    your edition of Visual Studio.
  • Then run the executable file to reset the installation metadata.
  • Try installing or updating Visual Studio. If the Installer continues to fail, go to the next step.

In case you don’t decide to read the documentation, really is not a waste of time. And if you still don’t solve get into contact with Microsoft.
